She sits and watches the door
Surely he'll be here soon,
She looks at the clock
Sees it's almost noon.
She takes another pill
Something to ease the pain.
She glances at the sky
She sees nothing but rain.
Suddenly the time comes
Silence she can't bear,
Sometimes it's all that she can do
Simply to sit there.
Simple things elude her
Shapes and objects there;
Samples of her madness
She sees them everywhere.
